Origin: selection of clones introduced into the Czech Republic.
Plant description: The hill is shrubby-like, medium high (260 – 320 cm), the leaf is medium green, long, narrow to medium broad. Flowers late in the autumn in years with more suitable temperatures. Number of flowers is lower. Yield of aboveground mass was on average 58 t/ha FM and 17 t/ha DM.
Tuber description: Tubers are pear-shaped, larger, light yellow, medium long and medium broad. Tuber surface is mostly regular. Average tuber yield in the trials is 40 t/ha.
Agronomic characters: Karin is a variety with high production of aboveground mass and higher tuber production. It less subjected to year effects as regard as tuber and aboveground mass production. It is universally usable for all purposes as regard as tuber and aboveground mass.
